Review on DKF events in the field of integration management
Making international nursing recruitment sustainable, transparent and fair! In order for international nursing professionals to enjoy working in acute and long-term care facilities, a number of things need to be taken into account.
To this end, the DKF offered events in different formats in 2022 and 2023.
For managers and executives, a digital DKF information series on topics of operational integration management took place in the past months. In a total of four two-hour online sessions, participants had the opportunity to delve deeper into topics from the DKF Welcome Culture & Integration Toolbox. In the first session, the participants were able to determine their own focal points and chose the following topics: Intercepting Conflicts, Accompanying Team Building and Promoting Language Development. In each of the associated events, there was theoretical background information, the opportunity to work on questions in small groups or in plenary and for subsequent discussion.
Interested parties were also given the opportunity to exchange ideas in various face-to-face formats. In the past two years, the DKF organised regional workshops for integration management staff in health and care institutions.
In 2022, the focus was on the topics “Racism in the health sector” and “Promoting language development”. With the help of external lecturers and experts, the participants were able to develop practical solutions to current challenges.
Under the motto “From practice – For practice”, the main aim of the regional future workshops in 2023 was for the participants to work out solution strategies together. In the workshops, all participants had the opportunity to decide for themselves which challenges they wanted to focus on.
